You read an article in a my latest Taproot mag about a girl who started cooking dinner for her family once a week when she was nine years old. Inspired, you perused the cookbooks & gave me your shopping list, deciding that Saturday mornings will be your morning in the kitchen. Today we all had pancakes for breakfast. Love
Your tantrums have kicked up a gear. Often you throw yourself on the ground and writhe around in frustration, tears, anger until your ready for a cuddle.

Checking out this brightly, patterned guy in the sandpit. I've loved watching both my girls discover the the big, wide world.

The day after the big show. Complete with eye makeup & tummy bug.
You are always nervous before you perform, butterflies in your tummy. We both thought that's what it was. When I watched you on stage I knew something was not quite right, you looked so tired. It wasn't until I came backstage that your dance teacher told me you'd been vomiting the entire performance but wanted to go on because your Mama was in the audience. You even waved to me. Oh my dear, sweet, love.

It's showtime! After all these years of ballet I still can't quite get used to seeing my baby girl in stage makeup. You danced beautifully, I'm so proud of you.

Somedays I really can't believe we've avoided calling the fire brigade. I've lost count of the number of times you've had your head stuck in the deck railing.
