With the past two and half months spent almost entirely on the couch or in bed it feels good to finally be up and about and back in this space. Winter crafts were left half finished, my spinning wheel sat quiet and patient, knitting needles were still, Spring vegie seeds went unplanted and daily walks in the bush fell by the wayside. Life was pared back and simplified. A very welcomed, at times trying, letting go you might say.
As the days passed slowly life around us kept ticking over. One season ended and a new one began. The apple tree with its bare branches is now filled with blossoms and bees. Queen Anne with her Lace has sprung up through the garden and the herbs are stretching their legs after a Winter rest. The smell of unwashed fleece no longer turns my belly and so my wheel is spinning once again. Needles have clicked back into action and Christmas crafting ideas are beginning to form. With each passing day the babe in my belly grows and life keeps travelling along at a much slower pace. It makes me smile.
Happy Spring to you
